Redwood Kitchens is a BIFIS Retail Installation Standards Partner, and our installer is registered with BIFIS individually. Both are listed on a public register you can search.

Buying a kitchen and getting it fitted are usually two separate problems.
In much of the industry, the company that sells you the kitchen is not the company that fits it. The fitter arrives as a subcontractor you have never met, and if something goes wrong the two parties point at each other.
At Redwood, it’s simple. We install what we sell. Being a BIFIS Retail Installation Standards Partner ensures we are vetted, approved professionals who deliver excellence for every project.

Checked, not self-declared.
BIFIS – the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists – is the UK’s government-sanctioned, not-for-profit institute for the fitted interiors sector, established in 2006. It confirms that registered members are:
- Identity verified
- Right to work confirmed
- Police (DBS) checked
- Public liability insured
- HMRC registered
- Asbestos aware
- Gas and electrical credentials checked
- Works to approved standards
- Committed to the BIFIS Code of Conduct
- Provides a workmanship guarantee as standard
These are monitored on an ongoing basis, not confirmed once at sign-up. If a requirement lapses, registration is suspended until it is resolved.
What it does not mean.
No accreditation guarantees a perfect kitchen. Every installation is carried out by people, in a real home, with the surprises that come with it.
What registration removes is having to take our word for it. Anyone can call themselves professional. This is the version somebody else monitors.
