Redwood Kitchens is a BIFIS Retail Installation Standards Partner, and our installer is registered with BIFIS individually. Both are listed on a public register you can search.

Clear responsibility from start to finish.
A kitchen can look like one purchase. In reality, responsibility might be divided between several businesses. The company designing and supplying the kitchen may not be responsible for its installation, while installers and specialist trades may be engaged under separate arrangements.
There is nothing inherently wrong with that. What matters is knowing who is responsible for bringing the whole project together — particularly when something needs coordinating, adjusting or resolving.
At Redwood, the structure is simple. We install what we sell.

Checked, not self-declared.
BIFIS – the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists – is the UK’s government-sanctioned, not-for-profit institute for the fitted interiors sector, established in 2006. It confirms that registered members are:
- Identity verified
- Right to work confirmed
- Police (DBS) checked
- Public liability insured
- HMRC registered
- Asbestos aware
- Gas and electrical credentials checked
- Works to approved standards
- Committed to the BIFIS Code of Conduct
- Provides a workmanship guarantee as standard
These are monitored on an ongoing basis, not confirmed once at sign-up. If a requirement lapses, registration is suspended until it is resolved.
What it does not mean.
No accreditation guarantees a perfect kitchen. Every installation is carried out by people, in a real home, with the surprises that come with it.
What registration removes is the need to take our word for it. Anyone can describe themselves as professional. BIFIS gives you something more useful: standards that are independently checked and continuously monitored.
